Kara Lewis is a poet and writer. Her poems have appeared in more than a dozen literary journals. She has also published articles and essays in Bustle, Alma, The Kansas City Star, and many other outlets. Her work considers womanhood and the body as both sociopolitical themes and as lived realities.

When she's not writing poetry, she works as a UX writer, copywriter, and creative strategist. She has earned certifications in UX writing fundamentals and in creating accessible tech from UX Content Collective. Work experience includes Vivid Seats, A Place for Mom, and Hallmark Cards.
